I was talking to Peggy last night about Weight Watchers. She had a counter for very item I brought up that was great about Weight Watchers. She just kept saying, "yeah, all diets do that." Then I would bring up something else great. Finally she said, "I can sense a zealous convert in you."
Yes, I am a zealous convert. And yes, it's difficult for me to see that any other diet offers the long term success that WW offers. Maybe I need to be a little less emphatic about WW being the best for everyone (if they just stick to it) in order to give others a chance to do what works for them. But I feel I have a valid opinion. After all, I have been on all those other diets! And lots of them work in the short run with faster losses. But I haven't found anything else that is this easy, has caused this much change in me, and has been this consistently successful. After steak, salmon, guacamole, ice cream and a chocolate chip cookie on Sunday, I still lost 1.6 pounds today - without starving myself or denying myself something I wanted. None of those other diets: Dr. Stillman's Quick Weight Loss Diet, Carbohydrate Craver's Diet; low fat diet; Atkins Diet or South Beat Diet can make those claims. (I have to admit I never tried to AHA Diet.)
So, I AM a zealous convert to Weight Watchers. So sue me. (Or another alternative is to never talk to me about it again.)

Sorry, that's South Beach Diet (maybe I thought it beat me - psycho typo). Also, I ate potato salad on Sunday which had 7 points!
