This morning I got up and was going gangbusters cleaning, straightening, typing, writing, washing...you get the picture. All of a sudden it was 11:00 and I had not eaten. I was clearing off the nook table and there was a package of E.L. Fudge cookies left over from when Elly was here last week. I pulled open the package to reveal just 3 cookies left. Great. I don't have to store them. I haven't eaten anything yet. I'll just eat these 3 cookies for breakfast.
Then I remembered.
I brought those 3 cookies upstairs and laid them on the arm rest of my big blue chair just so they could stare at me while I checked their pointage. I carefully opened my Weight Watchers pocket "manual." Let's just see what the points are for these cookies, I thought. Match up the fiber with the calories and then figure in the fat. Hmmmm. They are 2 points each. Well, I won't be eating three cookies for breakfast! I could eat one, though. But I only get 18 points/day (mostly since I don't get any points for my age - 0!). Do I really want to spend 2 of them on one E.L. Fudge cookie?
Well, not today anyway.
