I lost 3.4 lbs this week. I guess only losing .6 last week was a good motivator for me. But, losing 3.4 lbs is also a huge motivator. I just keep thinking "It's working!". The meeting I went to today was the WOW (Wee Ones Welcome) meeting. They really take this seriously in Provo. There were way more kids there than there were moms. It was kind of crazy. I didn't even bring my kids. I think I might start going to the Saturday meeting with my two friends without our kids.
The thing that I'm most excited about and motivated to do is exercise. I've gone jogging/walking three times this week. Each time my total distance has been 2 miles. The first time, I jogged for about 1/4? of my first mile total with walking in between. The second time, I jogged for about a mile in spurts with walking in between. Today (the third time) I jogged for THE WHOLE FIRST MILE without stopping or walking AT ALL! YAY for me!!!!!! I even jogged about 1/4 of the second mile too after walking a bit. Then, I power walked the rest of the second mile. It was hard. But, it was soo worth it. I can see now why people get addicted to running. It's not because of the actual running (I don't think), it's because of the sense of accomplishment afterward. Running straight for a whole mile is huge for me. I did this several times in Seattle last summer, but stopped when I got pregnant and nauseated. Now, it's been almost a year and I'm doing it again. I really want to be able to run a whole 5K without walking.
Hey, I know that we're working up to a 5k with WW on June 5th, but I was wondering if anyone wanted to walk the Breast Cancer Race for the Cure 5k on May 8th? It's only about 3 miles. We can walk it, for sure.
